What happens next?

It is a project where I explore the dynamics of a room. I focus in particular on the issue of the influence of light and darkness of the interior space on objects and the importance of the image in defining them. The objects become the “characters” in this HUB and the space becomes cold but essentially full of mystery. Each work represents a state, an identity in relation to the inner void. In the dark I find my peace, in the dark I create spaces, I create light and I combine these abstract things with the state I have. Apartment, room, hall, state, soul, light, shadow, the road to something/somewhere without end are just a few characteristics of this project. The photographic exhibition announces a combination and assembly of visual perceptions in different moments of time. Space and objects undergo visual changes depending on the state of the moment when the photographic image was developed.

So “What happens next?” it will not only talk about a simple room with furniture type objects in a room, but rather it will describe the moral part and the state of mind towards the spirit, the soul. It is my most personal project. “What happens next?” it started in the fall of 2018, undergoing visual transformations along the way. The project does not want a series of works, but rather registers a different state in each frame. The photographs paint and move away from the reality of the immediate view and capture what cannot be seen by the human eye. That is, the vibration of thought.

The project wants a continuous meditation on the inner space and a reflection on the inner self, often talking about the square, rectangle, triangle, circle, gesture, light and shadow, but also about the darkness of the room without artificial light. The interior of the room, the hallway is photographed only in the night light. It is that light that penetrates through the curtains, blinds or the door. The light clarifies and gently covers the cold space. These interpenetrations intensify and highlight the often-pictorial atmosphere of the photograph.

I explore the dynamics of a room.
