Homogeneous and undefined environment, analogous to space, in which the irreversible succession of phenomena appears to us.
Photography is and means light. Time dictates light. It makes it warm, cold or harsh depending on the period, the weather outside or the place from where you look at it. In addition to the visual part of light, there is also the part of the emotional state with which you look at light. You can be happy or sad, you can be bored or ecstatic even though the light is the same, I look at it differently in a different period of time depending on my state. But light seen through the prism of time does not only mean contemplation. You try to touch it, to be able to play with it. But if light changes its visual discourse, only time is to blame. Light through the prism of time does not only mean photographing it but also identifying with it, but especially with time. This is how I justify the action of making contact with different apertures and playing with seconds. Pressing within an allotted time makes the light print on the photographic paper with a certain state of mine. Some of the resulting and presented works took place within the residency “A Mechanical Copy + Răzvan Neagoe” at gallery 2/3.
Another example of exposure when the theme “Time” was from the exhibition “SINEGRAFIA” is made only in the laboratory, through an action carried out for 200 days. Every day I woke up at a certain time (always the same) and executed a circle. The exposure time by contact was 8 seconds. Due to my states, the pressure was not always firm. In fact, I also played with the developer and with the seconds of the image appearance. So “Time” is about me as a person and about my feelings for 200 consecutive days.
